Done deal: Saka signs new contract with Arsenal
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has committed his future to the club after signing a new contract till 2027. The Gunners have been looking at tying down the young winger to a new deal, with the two parties in February having reached an agreement in principle. Arsenal have now confirmed that Saka has finally put pen to paper on the new contract. Mount prefers Man Utd move
Man United would be Mason Mount ‘s preferred destination if he is sold by Chelsea this summer. Mount, 24, is currently locked in a contract stand-off with the Blues and will have just one year left on his current deal at the end of the campaign. The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have both been credited with an interest in the England midfielder in recent weeks and are believed to be monitoring Mount’s situation ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Chelsea to make Kounde offer
Chelsea could return for one of last summer’s transfer targets Jules Kounde, who could be unhappy with his current situation at Barcelona. The defender has often been played at right-back by Xavi despite preferring a central position, having turned down the Blues to move to the La Liga champions. Now, Sport have claimed that Kounde is willing to leave if a transfer can be agreed upon, as Chelsea could make a bid upwards of £47.5million. Barcelona are set to assess the situation and wait to see if Kounde changes his mind, but if not then Mauricio Pochettino’s side are waiting in the wings.
