Afrah
The Western North Region has signaled its intention to stop participating in the Ghana Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant.
A post by the Sefwi Wiaso Traditional Council on Facebook made this known.
According to the post sighted by www.africanentertainment.com, the Traditional Council cited cheating as the basis of threatening to Boycott the pageant.
The Council says: “Western North will communicate to management of TV 3 to disassociate ourselves from ever participating in the GMB program and all other programs by TV 3 for the total cheat and blackmail of our candidate Afrah.”

It added that “Afrah was 4th on the Voting list, has won best performance for two occasions and best costume for 1 occasion, she has never come up on eviction and was described as the best performance on the day of her eviction so what exactly did they base their assessment on for the eviction?”
According to the Council,
“We congratulate Afrah for making us proud and we will let her know that she is always our Queen. God bless Western North.”
The 16 regions of Ghana have their representatives participating in the annual pageant, the biggest beauty contest in the West African nation.
