Southern Africa nation, Namibia has declined to host Afghanistan refugees.
After the capture of Afghanistan by the Taliban, there has been international efforts to resettle several Afghans outside their country.
Uganda has taken in at least over 51 Afghan refugees.
But Namibia is not ready to take in the Afghans, local media reports monitored by African Entertainment revealed.
The Executive Director of international relations and cooperation of Namibia, Penda Naanda, is reported to have stated that “The ministry has received a request to take in refugees from Afghanistan, yes, but Namibia is not taking in any Afghan refugees at the moment.”
Mr Naanda did not give reason why Namibia is not taking in the Afghans, reports say.
