Oyinkansola Sarah Aderigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr is currently signed under Don Jazzy Marvin’s record and has recently reflected on her life before the limelight.
In a recent tweet, the talented singer expressed her amazement at how far she has come in just two years.
“I really don’t even know what I’m gonna do when rush hits a 100mill on YouTube,” she wrote.
“Do I cry, do I jump?? God, 2 years ago, I was just a small girl from Agbado Ijaiye.”
With hit songs like Bloody Samaritan, Beggi Beggi with Ckay, Sability, and Rush, Ayra has cleared the doubts of many who opined that she may not enjoy the limelight for long.
In the age of social media and digital content, it is uncommon to see individuals rise to fame seemingly overnight and maintain relevancy.
However, this has not been the case for the Cotonou-born singer as her popularity continues to rise.
Starr’s journey from a young girl in Agbado Ijaiye to a rising star is nothing short of inspirational evident in the remarkable achievement of her song “RUSH” amassing over 94 million views on YouTube.
In December 2019, Starr shared her debut original song on her page, which caught the attention of her now-record executive Don Jazzy that got her signed to Mavin Records.
Ayra Starr is known for her eccentric and almost nonexistent style of dressing which she has received outrageous criticism but the SABI girl as she loves to be called seemed never bothered as she continues to drop hits.
