Valletta FC have signed Liberian top striker William Jebor after the 31-year-old forward agreed personal terms with the Citizens and put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.
Jebor is a much-traveled forward who played in several countries around the globe. In 2015 he moved to Europe where he joined Portuguese top-flight club Rio Ave before then heading to Spain where he joined Ponferradina on a loan deal.
In 2017 he moved to Saudi Arabia where he joined Al Nassr FC before moving to Morocco to Wydad AC, and later in 2020, he move to the United Arab Emirates where he played for Fujairah SC.
Last summer, Jebor moved to Finland where he joined Kalju FC but struggled for first-team football as he only managed one appearance and he was subsequently released this month.
Valletta opened talks with Jebor’s representatives to bring in the player and he is now set to be unveiled as a new Valletta FC player. Jebor has already trained with the Citizens twice this week and is in line to make his Valletta FC debut on Sunday.
