New York-based group, Human Rights Watch (HRW) has accused Moroccan authorities of jailing journalists following flawed trials.
According to HRW, journalists are being jailed in Morocco on non-political charges in order to silence them.
It noted that two of the most prominent cases are those of Omar Radi and Soulaimane Raissouni, both sentenced this year on sexual abuse charges to at least five years in jail.
HRW recounted that one other journalist named Taoufik Bouachrine, was jailed in 2018 for 12 years, accused of rape and people-trafficking.
All the three journalists who were critical of the authorities in the north African nation, denied the charges against them.
